Our health insurance sector is in shambles. Even toady, 40% of Indians have no protection against catastrophic health illness. Successive governments have failed miserably and after 2014 things have become worse, according to NITI Aayog. 7% of our citizens from the lower strata are pushed below the poverty line each year.

Forty percent (40%) of UPs above 18 years population need still to vaccinated. And this years Health Index report of NITI Aayog retains UP at the bottom of the list. Health services remain in shambles placing the entire population at risk in the third wave of Corona.
