Uttar Pradesh’s Health Services & Vaccination Program in Shambles
The entire political and bureaucratic machinery of Uttar Pradesh is in full election mode. Even the Prime Minister is on the same boat. There is no inclination to look at the real issues that the state is facing.
On top of this, the Yogi government keeps issuing meaningless advertisements all over the country. According to advertising principles, an overdose of ads leads to what is known as ‘Ad fatigue.’ If not corrected, it further deteriorates to ‘Ad blindness’ where the target audience becomes stone-blind.
Contrary to these advertisements, data from the Ministry of Family Welfare shows that Uttar Pradesh is in the bottom three states regarding vaccinating the citizens. One-third of the population of UP is yet to be fully vaccinated.
Another report from NITI Aayog indicates that Uttar Pradesh has been at the bottom of the health index for two consecutive years. States like Bihar and Jharkhand have done better than UP.
The health services and vaccination program of Uttar Pradesh remains in shambles. UPs’ current situation is expected when political ambitions overtake the obligation of one’s duties towards their constituents.
