The BJP government or better is the Modi government has a lot to answer.
If there’s one thing governments around the world worry about most, and that is true factual information leaking into the public domain. Actually, ‘government’ is a misnomer. The most scared and cowardly people are the politicians who run the governments. A politicians mind is always engaged in saving his skin i.e., the seat of power.
So, the condition in India is also the same. The Emergency imposed in 1975 by the then Prime Minister Smt. Indira Gandhi is well written about and one cannot easily forget. Same is the situation with the present Modi government which is busy in campaigning 24X7.
The question is who is running the country? Is it the Prime Minister or the PMO (Prime Minister’s Office) or the bureaucrats sitting in the cabinet or none at all?
The roller-coaster manner in which India is drifting shows that destiny is more responsible than design. All facts, whether good or bad, are later justified by the Modi government. If a plan was made then nothing is going according to plan. Remember, the 5-year plans were scrapped by Modi way back in 2014. Therefore, there is no longer any measurable goal left. And that is how the BJP government has been able to justify its failures and malign the opposition.
In this episode, I have brought some figures for you which the Modi government would not want you to know. These facts are contrary to the propaganda and misinformation being spread. There’s not much you can do about it, but then its always better that any bad news be foretold.
The Indian economy is in shambles, but the government is taking you down the garden path. The renaming of BIMARU states (now called Empowered Action Group States) continues to be a huge drain on the country’s resources, nullifying all the good work done by the southern states. Needless to say, most of these have been ruled by the BJP for decades, with little or no improvement. Building a temple is not an option for good governance.
Modi has swept the effects of the disastrous demonetization under the carpet. Came with a bang and disappeared without a whisper. Cash remains king in India. The biggest question is, with UPI transactions at an all-time high, where is all this cash going.
