Among all the euphoria of forthcoming elections in Uttar Pradesh and four more states, we should not forget, that another crucial election is coming just around the corner.

The current President’s term comes to an end in July this year. As you may already be aware, the President of India is elected by an Electoral College. The members of this college are our elected Members of the Parliaments from Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha, and the elected members of the state Legislative Assemblies.

Watch this episode to see what would happen if the Presidential elections were to be held today. How many seats would the NDA be able to garner? Would these votes be enough to see them through the Presidential election?

I also look at the effect of Uttar Pradesh going out of the BJP fold in the coming assembly. What would this mean for BJP and how it would affect the Presidential election outcome? If BJP loses in Uttar Pradesh, then the fence-sitters are for sure going to jump the ship.

So, the worry on the face of BJP top guns is not just because of UP or Uttarakhand elections. There is much more worry hidden behind those grim faces of BJP leaders.
